changes. again.

I decided to go back to livejournal (just read the reason there. HAHAHAHA) but I’m still keeping this to post art and maybe reblog stuff. I couldn’t decide on which old username I was going to use (haha.). Ended up with moogeun since it has less posts to clear. 8D

Hello Davao! 27.04.12

Last Friday was the first time I flew with my entire family and it was the first time for me to fly domestic too!

The first two photos I took after landing. Hello Davao~

My family and I stayed atThe Pinnacle Hotelby Sta. Ana street because my parents had a conference in that hotel. I didn’t really get to take photos much because I was still so sleepy and tired from the plane ride. Not to mention I was in the ER the night before.

Everyone in the hotel was very nice and accommodating! I was always greeted with “Good morning/afternoon/evening, Ma’am.” with a smile EVERYWHERE. It felt nice~ Of course, I greeted back. :D

After I was able to nap a bit, we took a short city tour. We went to their government museum, passed by People’s Park (cos it was closed.) and finally, Pasalubong Place. Again, not that much photos since we weren’t allowed to take photos in the museum and People’s Park was closed. I didn’t go down when we were in Pasalubong Place since my family and I went back later.

Then lunchtime~

The bus dropped off my family at Penong’s, a family restaurant near our hotel. The place felt like Mang Inasal—barbeque chicken with unlimited rice. I still prefer Mang Inasal though. Their rice tastes better.

I found it really hilarious that they actually had a sign that said we had to clap to get the waiter’s attention. My older sister tried (and failed.) So my dad just tapped the waiter. HAHAHA!

Dessert was better.

We had dessert in a restaurant across the street,Ice Giants. When we entered, my sister and I were like, “WHY DIDN’T WE EAT HERE INSTEAD?!”

Their desserts were oh-so-yummy and creamy. We were trying to find out what ice cream they used but we failed. Teehee. I have a feeling they made their own ice cream. I kinda wish we had this here in Manila.

My mom’s saba giant.

I had a Davao Banana Split since I wanted Ube, Strawberry and Vanilla ice cream. It was so huge that my dad and my older sister ended up finishing it for me. :D

My sister’s really yummy Mango Giant. When I tasted it I literally went “OOOOHHH MMMMMMHH” The ice was really fine and powdery. It washeavenly.

My older sister and I liked it so much that we had dinner there later with the rest of our siblings.

I had chicken and fries~ I keep on getting sick so my food range is so limited now. Huhu. The chicken was so buttery. It was so good, hnggh. I really want to go back just to eat in that place again.

My siblings and I walked to Gaiciano’s Mallto buy water. (I later found out that the mall was owned by my younger sister’s friend. Wow, haha.)

The cutest water bottle I have ever seen. It felt like a water balloon.

And I’ll randomly end this post because I surprisingly found Tricia Gosingtian’s face in Davao. Haha! I remember meeting her in a convention years ago and I even met her cousin, Mark Gosingtian too for a graphic design workshop back in AC. 8D (Ew, my short hair. Photos from Sabs!)

May started off the right way ♥

Date today with Bocha Bunch~ We were missing 6 other awesome people. (HUHU NEXT TIME</3) The day was filled with laughter, kwento and more laughter. I really really missed these girls. (B/W photos cos the stupid flash ajsdhsakjfh I didn’t really trust the people taking the photos to not make it blurry. lol, sorreh. D:)

The photograph of what I ate has to be colored, of course. :D I had the usual Yakiniku Rice Burger of Sango~ It got so expensive though </3 There’s fries now too~ It made me realize that I haven’t gone to Rockwell or Sango in such a long time. HAHA.

I actually have to do other posts but I’m kinda lazy. HAHAHA. I still need to blog about our Davao trip and dad’s triathlon. Maybe later.

It actually rained for the first time today! Thank the Lord ♥ May May be a good one! :)

Morning Thoughts

Always keep Ithaca in your mind.
To arrive there is your ultimate goal.
But do not hurry the voyage at all.
It is better to let it last for many years;
and to anchor at the island when you are old,
rich with all you have gained on the way,
not expecting that Ithaca will offer you riches.

-Ithaca by Constantine Cavafy

Getting rejected to (what I feel is) the start of my road to (what I think is my) Ithaca hurts a whole lot. But I have a feeling that getting accepted wouldn’t be the start of my journey—my journey has already started.

I really have a thing for fishes, sorry. My older sister made me draw her several angel fishes for her class so I decided “Hey, since I learned how to draw an angel fish, I might as well make a legit drawing of it.” So….these photographs show parts of the aquarium drawing thing that I made. 8D

Clownfishes and two kinds of angelfishes ♥

Practice sketch of David by Michelangelo

Aside from reading this summer, I’ve been drawing as practice for the College of Fine Arts Talent Determination Test (which happened last April 14.) …I really hope I get in. ♥

I know there are E-books and whatever but nothing beats flipping the page of a really good novel! :)

So, there was a book sale and I went a little crazy. But first I have to finish Sherlock Holmes….it’s taking me forever, why?But look! I’m almost done with the first volume. HAHAHA (The Sandman belongs to my teammate and I loved A Song of Ice and Fire so much that I had to have my own copy of the books. My older sister bought me some to employ me this summer. HAHA.)
